The Lance Armstrong Foundation is uniting people across the country to make cancer a national priority.  The LIVESTRONG Army of Brazoria County, Texas unites people through programs and experiences to empower survivors to live their life on their own terms and to raise awareness and funds for the fight against cancer.

We focus on cancer prevention, access to screening and care, research and quality of life for cancer survivors.

Cancer touches the life of thousands every day.  Nearly all of us have a friend, loved one, colleague or family member who has faced cancer.

We'd like you to join with us and help make cancer a national priority. Much of what we do - and fail to do within our community and our country is at odds with our values and common sense.  In particular, there is a significant gap between what we know and what we do, what we deserve and what we get, what should be and what is.  We believe we must ensure that every Brazorian and every  Amercan benefits from what we know about cancer prevention and detection. Today more than 12,000 people are living in Brazoria County surviving cancer.  Each year another 1200 of our friends will be diagnosed with the disease and 465 of our neighbors will die.

"We need an army  of people. If we can just take a small percentage of the population of wristband wearers and turn it into a group that says, 'I care,' we can all make a difference in this fight against cancer" - Lance Armstrong
